Agave Studio designs a calming & Professional Squarespace website for a Boulder Private Practice
In crafting this Squarespace website for our friend Carla Friedli PhD up in Boulder, our goal was to create a digital sanctuary that mirrors the warmth and professionalism she brings to her therapy practice. Understanding that potential clients often feel vulnerable when seeking therapeutic support, we focused on designing a space that feels both welcoming and trustworthy. The clean, intuitive layout combines soothing colors with thoughtful typography to create an environment where visitors can easily find the information they need while experiencing the same sense of calm that Carla cultivates in her sessions. This project showcases how strategic design choices can help mental health professionals build meaningful connections with their audience before the first appointment.
The Website Brief
On our project kickoff call, Carla asked the designers at Agave Studio to create a Squarespace website that guided potential clients to what they needed with ease. She also requested imagery that was calming and represented the journey that clients often embark on when seeking therapy. We realized all of these requests culminated in one thing: Carla needed her clients to trust her and her expertise before they even pressed the “Submit” button on her contact form. After seeing some inspiration from Carla and taking into consideration the client requests, the design team at Agave got to work on the initial website design.
The Design Process
Through the design process, the Squarespace experts at Agave Studio kept the design brief in mind. This allowed us to choose colors and typography that would evoke a sense of calm. We decided on a soft blue and yellow color palette and a heavy slab serif font for headings that would be not only professional and easy to read, but also take the edge off the After a few small tweaks to the design after the design review call, the site was ready for content and the final quality assurance process. The expert developers at Agave Studio made sure that the site was ready to launch, and once it was launched the team at Agave set up Carla’s Google Search Console for her and Google Analytics.
The Result
The result is a calming and intuitive Squarespace website that will serve Carla for years to come. The soft blue and yellow color palette not only help create the trust Carla needs to attract clients, but also a sense of calm and even happiness and hope that can help inspire clients to embark on the journey they’re seeking. The designers chose typography that was not only complimentary of the design but also easy to read for users to easily navigate through the site. The imagery compliments these motifs through nature, sunrises and paths that represent the journey therapy can be. Clients can easily and securely inquire for therapy services with Carla through the Squarespace form tool, which also immediately notifies Carla of a new client. We know this site will serve Carla and her practice for years to come and can even grow with her.
