California Non-Profit Squarespace Redesign: Rusty Halo Foundation

California Non-Profit Comes to Agave Studio for Squarespace Redesign

We love working with non-profits here at Agave Studio. So when the Rusty Halo Foundation came to us in need of a new website, we were ecstatic about being able to help them out with their goal of getting more donations for their cause.

The Process

To accomplish this, we sat down with Steph, the Director of Rusty Halo, to discuss her wants and needs on the new site along with some of the issues she’s encountered with the old one. These basically boiled down to her needing to generate interest in her non-profit and also collect donations. She was also very interested in adding e-commerce functionality to the site to sell custom Rusty Halo products.

Throughout the process, Agave communicated with Steph and her grant writer on best practices for the brand new content on the site plus the readability and directing people to the right pages. Once the main flow of the website had been established, Agave got to work on building out a beautiful site looks great on a desktop and on a mobile device. The site takes on a classic look with serif heading fronts and a neutral color scheme to let visitors focus on the amazing cause Rusty Halo is taking on.

The Finished Product

The result is a beautiful, classic website designed in Squarespace that accomplishes the goals listed above with plentiful calls-to-action throughout the site asking to support the cause. The site also features the powerful Squarespace newsletter block to build a robust email list for future email marketing. The home page features a cascading effect of images of program participants and also the much loved Rusty Halo partners that make the program possible. The Squarespace summary block comes in handy to showcase recent blog posts and announcements from the organization. All of this ensures current and future Rusty Halo participants are aware of happenings at the ranch and how the organization continues to help at-risk youth and young adults.

Special thanks to my friend Lauren for the referral. You can check out her talented photography work on her website. Check out the brand new Rusty Halo site using the link below, and get some inspiration for your own non-profit’s website.
