Agave Fabricates a Bold and Playful brand for Yellow Armadillo Studios featuring an inspired adaptation of their name alongside a custom Squarespace website

Founder and Executive Producer Melody came to Agave Studio through a referral from our good friend Hallie Sigwing, who also had her site designed by Agave. The Brief

“Talking about tough things with a soft underbelly,” now that’s a strong and catchy tagline that we got to base our brand off of. Melody came to us with somewhat of a vague idea of what she wanted from a brand, but needed some guidance on how to get there. Luckily the brand identity experts at Agave Studio knew exactly what to do to narrow down an idea to something Melody loved. She wanted a fun, creative and, of course, yellow brand that reflected the way she wanted to do business. This was our creative brief on the project, and we were fortunate to have such an amazing client to let us run with it.

The Process

The process behind the Yellow Armadillo brand followed our proven process of putting together and building a brand. First, we started out with a branding call with Melody to get the ideas of her brand together. Then, we created three different Stylescapes to capture the look and feel of different directions we could roll with. Once we decided on a direction, it was smooth sailing to create the rest of the brand.

Once the branding was nailed down, Agave got started on building the Squarespace site Yellow Armadillo would call home. Inspired by retro radios and collegiate vibes, Agave brought in lots of color and imagery to create a welcoming site. Agave and Melody collaborated on the site structure and flowing the content to make sure everything made sense.

Finally, as included in our Agave and Saguaro packages, we typed up a winning SEO strategy to finish out the make sure it was as visible as possible on search engines. Of course, if you already have a website and need to get your SEO game on point, we have various SEO packages to get you started.

The Result

The result is a beautiful brand and website to showcase the myriad of production services and podcasts that Melody has worked on. The brand itself reflects the funkiness of the name Yellow Armadillo while also having a clean and polished look.
