Natural Skincare & Bath Ecommerce Store Comes to Agave Studio for New Whimsical Brand and Squarespace Website

Agave Studio creates a witchy and creative brand identity for Northern Colorado natural skincare company Moth & Moon Soaps

The Squarespace and brand identity experts at Agave Studio have tackled another project! This time we were able to work with a local client who has become not only a client, but also a great friend. We love working with clients in the Fort Collins community and can’t wait to show off this project in our portfolio.

Kim at Moth & Moon Soaps came to us in need of a little bit of a refresh for her website and marketing services. Agave worked with her budget and came up with a custom package to redesign her brand and Squarespace online store to make it easier to shop. Check out how we did it below!

The Brief

We had the pleasure of meeting Kim over the phone a few months ago after she found us on Google. She had designed her Squarespace website herself and had undertaken a few marketing efforts, but needed some help taking everything to the next level as her business grew. This is where Agave Studio stepped in to ensure her website was easy to shop and her brand reflected her creative vibes.

As a creative herself, Kim wanted a brand that reflected her witchy vibes while also being simple enough to read on a label for her many natural bath and skincare products. She also wanted her site to be simplified a bit and made easier to navigate for potential customers. Agave took this brief and created a whimsical brand that reflected Kim’s original style.

The Process

While Kim first came to us with a desire to redesign her website, we ended up starting with her new brand which would in turn inspire the new website design for her store. The brand designers at Agave Studio began by presenting two different directions for the brand based on our initial conversations with Kim. These both included an illustration of a luna moth, but one was brighter with more earthy tones and the other was darker with more jewel tones. Kim ended up going with a mix of the two for the brand and we have to say it came out fantastic!

The Squarespace experts at Agave were also hard at work getting the website ready for a transition to a new design. This included helping Moth & Moon categorize their products and adding categories to their product page and adding a newsletter sign up for potential customers to sign up for an email newsletter and receive a discount code. Once the brand was completed, work got started on the new website design in the back-end of the Squarespace site. This included a homepage redesign and matching the website design to the new brand fonts and colors.

The Result

The result is a gorgeous new brand and Squarespace site that not only reflects Kim’s personality, but also is easy for potential customers to buy her wonderful products. The new site prominently features the new logo featuring the luna moth and moon phases alongside the new color palette with a blush pink and navy. The new homepage also features Moth & Moon’s new products and best sellers alongside some popular product categories. Agave also added a few functionalities to the site including Squarespace email campaigns and customer accounts for customers to keep track of their orders.
