Agave Studio Creates an Art Deco Quintet Brand Identity
Fort collins brand and logo designers build a classic brand for local volunteer quintet orchestra
The Brief
The Tattered Winds Quintet Orchestra came to Agave Studio looking for a brand identity to represent their volunteer-based band. Their performances ranged from weddings to performing charity concerts at nursing homes so the brand needed to appeal to a broad range of potential venues and clients. After a brand discovery call, Tattered Winds and Agave Studio agreed that the brand should have a broad appeal, have a classical vibe, and include all five instruments that make up the quintet, (french horn, flute, clarinet, oboe and bassoon).
The Process
The brand designers at Agave Studio started out with creating two seperate logo directions for the quintet. After a few meetings and revisions, the final logo was settled on with a classic and art deco theme to appeal to a broad audience while also representing the band’s goals.
The Result
The result is a classic and art deco-inspired logo that represents everything Tattered Winds was expecting. The quintet of instruments forming an enclosure for the french horn, the instrument that sets the orchestra apart from the rest, places emphasis on a differentiator from other quintet orchestras. The muted colors and fonts form a contrast with the brand mark and typefaces and allows them to stand on their own. A fitting brand for a classical instrument quintet.
