Operating a business for almost 25 years with no website is really, really impressive, and that was the case with our friends at DC Express up in Fort Collins. A family-owned business through and through, the Northern Colorado medical couriers thrived without a website for almost 25 years before coming to the Squarespace experts at Agave Studio to build their first website. Needless to say, we were impressed and honored that they trusted us with their digital presence debut.

The Brief

Looking to expand, the website-less medical couriers needed a Squarespace site that was not only easy to update, but also showcased their courier services, let potential customers see their service areas, and allowed potential new employees to inquire about employment opportunities. All of these objectives needed to be met while highlighting their experience and family-owned roots alongside the correct imagery as well! After discussing website objectives, calls to action and general site design, the Squarespace experts at Agave Studio got to work on the brand new site.

The process

The Squarespace experts at Agave Studio started out by collecting images and videos that represented the medical courier business. After getting those approved by the owners, the designers and developers moved on to laying out the site architecture, adding content, and creating clear pathways for potential clients. Right off the bat, Agave Studio wanted to feature that the medical couriers had been family owned and operated for over 25 years. This builds immense trust especially with local clients in the Fort Collins and Greeley areas. After that, clear calls-to-action were implemented to ensure both potential clients and potential new employees knew where to go to learn more about services and the company overall. One of the most important things was to convey that the medical couriers not only served Colorado, but the surrounding states as well. Agave Studio created a graphic showing where DC Express was headquartered, and the Midwest and Mountain West states that they serve. Finally, we created a clear and concise contact page where potential clients can express their interest in certain services.

The Result

For the medical courier company’s digital debut, the result is a website that not only showcases their expert services and where they operate, but a site that also conveys that they are a family-run business and take pride in what they do. The site features a mix of stock photos and videos plus images the medical courier provided to us of their employees and delivery vehicles. Potential clients in the medical industry can easily find where to go for lab courier services, and potential employees can easily apply for open positions at the company.
